Severe Weather Plans The Vice President for Finance and Operations is designated as the official spokesperson for severe weather procedures and will make decisions and give out information as needed. When a decision has been reached to suspend classes because of inclement weather, the following announcement will be released through the Division of University Relations: I. ANNOUNCEMENT "Employees driving should enter the campus at any of the following seven campus entrances: (1) Trowbridge Road at Harrison; (2) Shaw Lane at Hagadorn Road; (3) Shaw Lane at Harrison Avenue; (4) Collingwood Drive at Grand River Avenue; (5) Mt. Hope Road at Farm Lane; (6) Service Road at Hagadorn Road; or (7) Service Road at Harrison Avenue." II. PAY POLICY Employees in this category who do not report for work may elect to either take the time off without pay or be paid by charging the time to personal or vacation leave accruals. III. Prolonged Severe Weather Conditions In cases of declared emergencies or prolonged severe weather conditions, the administration will determine the level of services appropriate to the functioning of the University and the needs and levels of employee involvement. IV. Travel and Parking
B. Employees are requested to park in the parking ramps. Parking areas will be opened as they become operational and available. C. Vehicles to transport personnel from the parking ramps to their work area will be provided, if feasible. |
